Extended Bio
Alexandro Pacheco returned to school after a 15-year career in the non-profit performing arts sector, after dedicating over a decade in development and marketing for the Mark Morris Dance Group. During his time there as a fundraiser in special events (2001-2005) and then as the sole producer of experience-enhancing, education-based, special projects (2005-2012), he created and was responsible for over 40 major showcases still rotated to this day. Originally from Pilsen, a predominantly-hispanic community on the southwest side of Chicago, Alexandro was an only child raised by a single immigrant mother from Mexico. He started writing short stories and teleplays from a very early age. It was not until he reached the age of 40, however, when he came to the decision that what he lacked was not the motivation, to finally embark on his path in television, but a formal education. He became a Phi Theta Kappa Honors graduate of Borough of Manhattan Community College in order to be accepted, in 2018, into the Kanbar Institute of Film & Television at Tisch School of the Arts. He went on to graduate Cum Laude, earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts at New York University, May 2020. An active member of the Tisch community, he produced or directed 10 productions in just two years. He currently holds an internship at the NYC-based Manhattan Productions and is actively seeking freelance work as a filmmaker, on route towards the ultimate goal of being a Line Producer in television.
